The architectural design for the residential portion of the Village relies more on balance and landscape than regional-specific influences. While many developments are regionally inspired, Lone Pine Village will not go a thematic route. Rather, as Frank Lloyd Wright pulled the horizontals that dominate the look directly from the ever-present line where the sky meets the land for his Prairie style, Lone Pine Village will draw from the land that it is built on.
The dominant landscape forms are the greatest influences on the Lone Pine Village design. The gentle flowing curves of the grand river, and the powerful, perpendicular lines of the exposed columnar Basalt formations are one of the primary geologic features of the Gorge. Every residence will have an idyllic balance of indoor and outdoor living space, with the boundaries between the two only minimally defined.
